For years, I've pondered over crafting a type family melding modernist aesthetics, like Władysław Strzemiński's "a.r.", with pre-war Warsaw's multiscript allure. Thus, the concept of Polin Sans was conceived. Delving into geometric Cyrillic variants, I drew inspiration from "Towards an open layout: A letter to Volodya Yefimov." Intriguingly, circular forms, akin to Bulgarian Cyrillic, smoothly integrate into the classical version without hindering legibility. Simultaneously, while immersed in typoteka.pl, the Hebrew typeface "jaffa" by Idźkowski & Sk-a captivated me, resembling Hebrew's "a.r." counterpart. Israel's Ben Nathan joined, crafting his native script. What began as a multiscript endeavor expanded to encompass Greek and Vietnamese. Polin Sans emerges as a historical voyage through Polish modernism, shaped by creators of diverse cultural backgrounds.
